Privacy policy
The short version first: we collect what an order needs and nothing more, we do not sell your data, and you can have a copy or deletion of what we hold by sending one email.
1. What we collect
- Order details: name, shipping address, email, phone number, and what you bought. We need these to deliver your order and to help you afterwards, including under the 5-year warranty.
- Payment: handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
- Messages: anything you write to us, kept so the next reply does not start from zero.
- Site usage: standard analytics about pages visited and how you found us, collected through the cookies described below.
2. What we use it for
- Fulfilling and delivering your order, and sending its confirmation and tracking emails.
- Answering your messages and running the 60-day trial and the 5-year warranty.
- Improving the site and, where the law requires it, meeting our accounting obligations.
- Marketing email only if you opted in, in line with Canada's anti-spam law (CASL). Every such email carries a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately.
3. Who we share it with
Only the companies it takes to run a store: our hosting and payment providers, the shipping carrier, our email provider, and analytics services. Each receives the minimum it needs to do its job, and none may use your data for its own purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, ever.
4. Cookies
The site uses cookies for the cart, for remembering your preferences, and for measuring which pages and ads work. You can block cookies in your browser. The cart needs them; most other things work without them.
5. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as the law requires and for the life of your warranty. Support messages are kept while they remain useful for helping you. Analytics data is aggregated or deleted on the schedules of the services that collect it.
6. Your rights
Email [email protected] and within 30 days we will send you a copy of everything we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete what the law does not require us to keep, or stop any marketing at once. These are your rights under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and the provincial laws that apply where you live, including Quebec's private-sector privacy law, and we honour them wherever in Canada you write from.
7. Security
The site runs on secure hosting with encryption in transit throughout. Your data may be stored and processed on servers outside Canada by the providers named above, under contracts that bind them to the protections on this page. Access to customer data inside Vekto is limited to the people who answer your messages.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we delete it.
9. Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we say so on this page. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
10. Contact
Email [email protected]. A real person answers, any hour, every day.
11. Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we collect the number, your opt-in consent and when and how you gave it, the status of your orders and deliveries, and the purchases and site activity we use to decide what to send you. We use this to send order and delivery updates and, only if you opted in, marketing texts about Vekto products and offers. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help.
We will not share your mobile information or opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories, such as text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with third parties.
