Every house has one. The tall window over the stairs. The fixed glass above the front door. The upstairs outside pane you would have to lean out of a window to reach. It has not been cleaned properly since you moved in, and the sun shows it every afternoon.

Seven years in this house and the big window over the stairs had never been cleaned from the inside, because nobody was putting a ladder on the stairs. I stood on the landing and watched it go up there. Pretty satisfying.
